She was extremely fussy, and I told my husband that I should figure out how to wear my baby and be hands free. I did very limited research through Facebook friends, and then we purchased an Ergo. I used it again and again for the first two years of my daughter’s life.

In the summer of 2013 my husband, daughter, and I (while pregnant) moved from Arkansas to Austin, Texas. I knew of very little people who did babywearing in Arkansas. Once I was able to attend a meeting with BWI Austin I was amazed at not only my options but at all the women there! I felt inspired by how much there truly was to learn.
Now, as my second daughter is almost one, I have learned a great deal by going to the local meetings. I love wearing her with all different types of carriers. I literally can not figure out how people parent more than one child without babywearing. What do you do with the baby when you take your toddler to the public restroom?
Babywearing is a love and hobby of mine now but I also know from experience that it can make life so much easier. I have a passion to help those around me know of the benefits we have with babywearing. I am currently training, and I am excited to increase my knowledge and skills and help other parents with baby wearing.
